Dancing On – Dance Classes for the Over 60’s
What to expect
Would you like to keep active, improve your balance and stimulate your creativity? If yes, then Dancing On classes are perfect for you. They are a chance to exercise gently in a safe, fun and friendly class. Research has shown the benefits of dance and social interaction for improved memory, mental health and general well-being.
After warming the body up, we will learn some short dance sequences and work towards creating a longer dance as a group.
One class is suitable for those over 60 years old who feel steady and confident on their feet. The other class is mostly chair based for those wishing to move and raise their heart rate but don’t feel quite so steady on their feet or are unable to stand. Please have a chat if you are unsure which class is right for you.
Drinks and biscuits are also provided after the class.
Weekly contemporary/creative dance classes for men and women over 60 years old.
What to Wear
Clothes that you can move easily in with flat shoes or trainers.

Dancing On – Class Information
|Day||Wednesdays during term time|
|Times||12.45 – 1.45pm A mostly seated, gentle class|
|2 – 3pm Standing class for those who are steady on their feet|
|Venue||Eccleshall Community Centre, Shaws Lane, Eccleshall, Staffs, ST21 6AU|
|Cost||£5 per class. Your first class is FREE. Carers welcome to join in too|
