Benefits of Dancing
There are massive benefits to having fun dancing and getting fit at the same time. Research shows that attending dance classes can help with co-ordination, balance, improve fitness and flexibility, get your heart rate up, challenge your memory, aid social interaction and really lift your mood. It makes you feel good in so many ways. This in turn makes it easier to do your everyday tasks.
My passion is for contemporary dance, I love having the freedom to move and explore my creative side through dance. My classes encourage expression and creativity often using props such as balls, ribbons, feathers and sheets of material.
Wriggle Bugs offers lively classes for nursery and pre-school children aged between 6 months and 5 years old. I also offer classes in schools giving children a chance to express their individuality through movement. My work in health care settings focuses on dance and movement classes for hospitals, care homes or in sheltered housing. Finally, I offer dance classes for men and women over 60 years old in a community setting.
What’s coming up…
Family dance workshops coming soon. A chance for children, parents and grandparents to dance together.

Since qualifying from The Laban Centre in 1997 with a BA (Hons) in Dance Theatre I have gained over 15 years of experience teaching dance classes in nurseries, schools, hospitals and in a community setting. Most has been as a freelance dance artist, some whilst dancing for performance companies supporting their education programme alongside performances. I have led sessions for parents and toddlers, primary and secondary schools, children and adults with disabilities, teenagers who have been excluded from school, youth dance groups and older adults with dementia.
